P&B’s RESIDENCE

Renovation & extension of a private residence.

This project is a sensitive renovation and extension of a historic Uccle residence, reinterpreted through a contemporary architectural lens. The design harmonizes the home’s existing character with new, refined volumes, using a restrained palette of light brick, warm timber accents, and expansive glazing to merge interior and exterior spaces.

Sustainability and ecological integration are at the heart of the project: landscaped roofs, indigenous plant species, permeable surfaces, and open infiltration zones create a biodiverse environment while managing rainwater naturally. Existing mature trees are preserved wherever possible, and the landscape design fosters both human comfort and local wildlife corridors.

Inside, a sequence of open, light-filled living spaces flows seamlessly toward the gardens, framed by carefully positioned windows and terraces. The result is a timeless home that balances architectural clarity, environmental responsibility, and the quiet elegance of everyday living.
