Construction of a secondary residence.

This contemporary villa, located in a quiet and green area of the seaside town of Knokke, acts as a second residence and replaces an old house from the ‘70s.

The two stories, surmounted by a low-pitched roof are enhanced using different materials for each register, which contributes to the horizontality of the composition. The recessed facade of the first floor highlights the details of the roof structure which reminds us of Japanese woodworks.

From a closed and sober façade towards the public domain, the villa opens progressively with large bay windows towards the carefully laid-out garden.

The soft interiors are in contrast with the monolithic exterior, creating a serene atmosphere for the art collection of the owners.
